The Model Railway
This large layout is fully computer controlled using two main computers, and 40 microcomputers
twenty five of these are on the beautifully detailed HO scale trains (1:87)
There are a total of 25 trains running over eight routes
The computer ensures that the trains run to a schedule so complex that you could spend days
here without being able to predict which train will move next
The longest route a train travels is 250 track feet, about 4.1 miles if full scale, before starting it's return journey
There are also many end-to-end routes so forget about the usual oval track layout
There are over 400 buildings, 800 little people, many arranged in cameo scenes such as the bra snatcher, the naughty photographer, and the hearse with a puncture
There are 30 working models, including a fairground, and some models can be operated by visitors
