MVs Brading & her sister ship Southsea at the builders yard of

Built for British Railways for the Southern Region
They are 195ft in length with a beam of 42.25ft
837 gross tonnes and each can carry 1000 passengers
They were the first IOW Ferries to have RADAR fitted
In 1967 they received an overhaul giving them modern up to date interiors
Their gross tonnage increases to 986
British Railways Southern Region introduced Brading in March 1948 along with her sister ship Southsea
Service dates: 1948 - 1985
